Volkswagen car tuning tips and advice. We have a wide range of tuning articles covering all models of Volkswagen from the humle MK1 Golf Gti which started the hot hatches off in the 80's to the latest Iroc and V8 engined models powered by the latest units. Following our tuning tips you will avoid many of the common mistakes and actually achieve the car setup you desire. TorqueCars started providing Volkswagen mods, car styling and car tweaks Tips and advice back in 2003 and have grown from strength to strength with a fast growing membership of all types of Volkswagen owners. We are currently one of the fastest growing car tuning clubs around and certainly one of the friendliest. In 2007 we organised our first full car show in Kent. Our Volkswagen tuning and styling articles are continually updated so for the latest Volkswagen mods,styling and tweaks advice, tips and pointers please check back regularly. 1934
Contrat entre l'association du Reich de l'Industrie automobile (RDA) et Ferdinand Porsche pour la construction d'une « Volkswagen » (voiture du peuple

1938
Début de la construction de l'usine VOLKSWAGEN dans le Wolfsburg d'aujourd'hui. Intégration de la société Volkswagen GmbH au registre du commerce.

Les années 40











1948
L'ère Coccinelle. La production industrielle de la Coccinelle débute. Ses ventes vont dépasser 21 millions d'unités, record inégalé dans l'histoire de l'automobile.

1949
Le modèle pour l'Export est introduit au prix de 5 540 DM.
En même temps un modèle VW décapotable de 4 places fabriqué par Karman est introduit sur le marché. Avec ces quelques 330 281 unités vendues au cours de l'histoire, ce modèle est devenu le cabriolet le plus vendu au monde.

Les années 50











1950
Le premier Transporter sort des chaînes.

1955
La millionième Volkswagen sort des chaînes.

1956
Dans la nouvelle usine d'Hanovre les premiers Transporter sortent de la chaîne.

Les années 60











1962
Début de la production de la VW Break.

1963
Un véhicule allemand exporté sur deux est une Volkswagen.

1969
Introduction de la VW 411 E avec injecteur d'essence électronique ainsi que du véhicule à multi usages la VW 181.
Jochen Rindt, Jochen Mass, Nelson Piquet et Niki Lauda entament leur carrière de coureurs automobile de Formule « V » avec un « rakete Sport au moteur Coccinelle ».

Les années 70











1972
La 15 007 034ème Coccinelle établit un record mondial.

1973
Présentation de la Passat en tant que véhicule de classe moyenne d'une nouvelle conception.

1974
Début de l'époque Golf. Début de la production de la Golf en modèle 2 et 4 portes avec des motorisations de 50 à 70 ch.

1975
Présentation de la Polo
Présentation de la Golf GTI (110 ch) : voiture star initiatrice du phénomène GTI. Vitesse de pointe 182 km/h.

1976
Arrivée du premier moteur diesel VOLKSWAGEN. Volkswagen est le seul constructeur à fabriquer un modèle de véhicule pour particuliers diesel appartenant à la classe moyenne.
La millionième Golf sort des chaînes après seulement 31 mois de production.

1978
La dernière Coccinelle fabriquée en Allemagne sort des chaînes de l'usine de Emden.

Les années 80











1983
Après neuf ans de production la Golf de première génération laisse place à la nouvelle Golf.

1985
Test de la Polo G 40 coupé de 129ch. Vitesse de pointe 218,4 km/h. Ce qui dépasse de loin le record existant de 168,6 km/h de la classe des 1300 cm3
Cinquantenaire de la Coccinelle.

1988
L'usine VOLKSWAGEN et la ville de Wolfsburg fête leur 50 ans. Des chaînes sort la 10 000 000ème Golf.

Les années 90











1993
En septembre, 4 nouveautés Volkswagen dans sont présentées : Passat, Golf Break, Golf Ecomatic, Golf Cabriolet.

1995
Première mondiale de la Golf Cabriolet TDI, le premier cabriolet diesel fabriqué de série.

1996
A Genève on peut admirer la New Beetle Syncro, 4 roues motrices, moteur TDI.

1997
A Francfort, présentation de la Golf génération 4, de la Polo SDI et de la Golf Cabriolet « sport edition ».
Première du premier 12 cylindres de Volkswagen monté sur un véhicule sportif exclusif.

1999
La Golf a 25 ans. Depuis son apparition 19 millions d'unités ont été produites.
Présentation de la Lupo 3L TDI en tant que première voiture au monde fabriquée de série avec une consommation de 3 l /100 km
